Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. What if I can’t reach anyone at the office?

Our normal office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  To reach someone after hours leave a message for our after hours attendant. You may also send an email to info@adlmonitoring.com.  We make our best efforts to address after hours issues, however, we are not always able to respond in as timely of a manner as we would like.  By leaving a voicemail, or sending an e-mail, your concern will be documented.

  • 2. What does it mean when the red light on my CAM Base Station flashes?

A flashing red light on the base station occurs for various reasons, when the power is out, when it has no internet connection, or it has missed its communication time with the bracelet.  If the red light continues to flash for 24 hours, please call us and we will troubleshoot the problem.

  • 3. What does it mean when my CAM base station has the message “Wake Bracelet with Magnet”?

This message displays on the base station screen when your bracelet has not downloaded data to the base station.   This will generally clear itself within 1 hour of you being home.  If you have been home for more than an hour and it has the same message, call us and we will walk you through some other steps to take.

  • 4. What if I notice my CAM bracelet stops vibrating?

You should contact us immediately to make sure we are receiving data from your bracelet.  If we have a communication failure, it could end up in a violation report to the court.

  • 5. Can I get my Bracelet wet?

Your CAM bracelet can get wet, such as when you take a shower, but it cannot be submerged.  There is a pump inside the bracelet that will be damaged if the bracelet is submerged, which will end up costing you $1,400.00 to replace your bracelet.

GPS bracelets are water resistant, but we still don’t recommend submerging them.  If the bracelet does become damaged, you will be responsible for the replacement cost.

  • 6. What does it mean when my GPS vibrates or emits an audible tone?

If the bracelet vibrates it means you need to charge it.

An audible tone means we are trying to reach you and you need to contact us as soon as possible.  Failure to respond to us may result in a violation report being sent to the court.   You need to contact our office as quickly as possible

  • 7. What if my Drug Patch starts to fall off?

If possible, snap a picture of it and text it to your ADL agent.  Most of the time we can tell from the picture if the patch needs to be changed immediately.  It is important that you pay attention to your patch because if it comes out from under the overlay it’s considered a tamper and must be reported to court.

  • 8. How often do I have to pay for my monitoring?

If you are on GPS or Alcohol Monitoring your payment is due every two weeks, unless you have made other arrangements with us.

If you are on a Drug Patch, your payment is due at the time your next patch is applied.

  • 9. How do I pay for my monitoring?

Payments can be made online at www.ADLmonitoring.com using the “Click to Pay Now” button at the top of our home page.  To avoid paying a credit card processing fee, we offer an auto-pay option that will automatically charge your debit or credit card on a desired schedule.  Payments can also be mailed or dropped off at our office at 107 S. Madison St., Green Bay, WI 54301.

  • 10. Are there discounts available to help with the cost of my monitoring?

We do offer discounts for those who demonstrate financial need or have served in the military.  We also offer a discount for performing community service.  Inquire with your agent or call our office at (920) 283-1038to get more details.

  • 11. What happens if I can’t pay for my monitoring?

If you can’t pay for your monitoring, you basically have three options. Your best option is to come in to meet with us so we can try to work out an extended payment plan.  We don’t want a lack of money to be a reason you go back to jail. The second option is for you to petition the court for bond modification to have your monitoring removed as a condition of your release from jail. The third option is to come in and surrender your equipment.  By doing so you will be violating the bail conditions of your release.  There could be consequences such as the District Attorney filing bail jumping charges and/or a warrant being issued for your arrest.  This could also mean you forfeit the cash or signature bond you posted for your release.

  • 12. What happens if I have an outstanding balance when my monitoring is complete?

We expect to be paid in full for the monitoring services we provide you.  We will work with you to make arrangements that fit your budget once your monitoring is complete.  However, if you make no effort to pay your balance, we reserve the right to rescind all the discounts we provided during your monitoring period.  This can result in back-charging you hundreds of dollars.  We will make every effort to collect the debt that is owed to us using any means at our disposal.

  • 13. What happens if I don’t return my equipment?

The equipment we provide for monitoring is very expensive and has absolutely no value to anyone except us.  It really doesn’t make sense to not return it, even if you decide to cut and run.  If you fail to return your equipment you will be billed for the replacement cost of the equipment.  We will also file a theft report with the Sheriff’s office of the county your case is in, and you can expect to face additional charges and pay restitution for the equipment.
